Supernatural healing and prophetic encounters are possible because of who Jesus Christ is and what He accomplished for us.
He was born the only begotten Son of God, lived a perfect sinless life and fulfilled the entire Old Testament Law.
When he was crucified He became the final sin offering for all of mankind for all time. His perfect sinless blood purchased all living beings back from the power of the evil one.
He is now in His resurrected body and has been given all power and authority by God.
Healing and prophecy are two of the nine manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
Simply put, the Holy Spirit of God is the gift of spiritual empowerment that Jesus promised He would send to his disciples after he ascended to His Father.
When we experience supernatural healing and prophetic words and messages from God and Christ we are partaking in something that is described as a token proof, a down-payment of what is to come in eternity.
At that time we will have immortal and incorruptible eternal bodies (like Jesus Christ now has). We will then "know even as we are known". Then we will have no more need for prophetic utterances and unctions or healing.
Healing is for today. So is prophecy.

The healing scriptures below give examples of where the Bible supports “Anointing of the sick” and “Laying on of Hands” as being Biblically appropriate for ministering to the sick.
Many people think that only ministers and other church leaders can “Anoint the Sick”, but really it is a practice that any believer can perform. The healing will take place not based upon your feeling but on your faith and the faith of the one being touched.

You see the miracle of healing is activated because you have the courage to believe and honor his Word.
Go ahead in the name of Jesus and exercise the authority given unto you to help someone. It is amazing what a personal touch can do for one’s healing.
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”
